My Approach

I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Every person's story is different, which is why I take an individualized, evidence-based approach rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we'll build practical skills, foster self-awareness, and create space for healing, resilience, and meaningful growth at a pace that feels right for you.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors to improve emotional regulation and develop personal coping strategies.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Emphasizes individual psychotherapy and group skills training to help people learn and use new strategies and skills to build a life worth living.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

An approach that recognizes the pervasive impact of trauma and integrates knowledge about trauma into all aspects of treatment to promote safety and healing.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy

Combines cognitive therapy with meditative practices and attitudes based on the cultivation of mindfulness to prevent the recurrence of depression.

Strengths-Based Therapy

Focuses on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on your shortcomings, failures, and dilemmas.

Solution-Focused Therapy

A goal-directed collaborative approach to psychotherapeutic change that is conducted through direct observation of clients' responses to a series of precisely constructed questions.

What to Expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if it's your first time. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll work together to move at a pace that feels right for you.

Beginning Therapy

Our first few sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your current challenges, identify your strengths, and develop goals that feel meaningful and achievable. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and determine whether we're a good fit.

Working Together

As therapy progresses, we'll build practical skills to help you navigate life's challenges while fostering greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and confidence. Using evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs, we'll work toward meaningful and lasting change while celebrating progress along the way.

Moving Forward

Therapy looks different for everyone, and there is no set timeline for growth. My hope is that you'll leave therapy feeling more empowered, resilient, and equipped with the tools and insight to navigate future challenges with greater confidence. Even after therapy ends, the skills and strengths you develop can continue to support your well-being for years to come.
